Next Steps on the Wise Way Forward

So far, God has honored our efforts to wisely and safely re-engage in-person, on-campus ministry at Ingleside.

We have deliberately taken an incremental approach.  Instead of cannon-balling off the diving board into the deep end, we have purposefully waded back into the water a step at a time – assessing, evaluating, and asking the Lord’s wisdom with each step we take.

You may remember that we began regathering for worship on June 14, Weekday Preschool and Mothers Morning Out kicked off on August 10, and Sunday morning preschool ministry resumed on August 23.

Now it’s time to take the next steps.  Beginning on Sunday, September 13, we will add the following to our in-person, on-campus disciple-making menu:
.

  • Contemporary Worship Service – On Sunday, September 13, our contemporary worship service will resume in the Multi-Purpose Gym at 11:00 a.m. Seating is limited to 100 worshippers, or 25% of the room, and is by reservation only. We will practice social distancing, and face coverings are strongly encouraged. Check in at the Multi-Purpose Gym, let an usher guide you to a seat, take notes on your mobile device, and worship with your whole heart. You may make your reservation here.
    .
  • .Kid’s Worship – Beginning Sunday, September 13, 5K – 5th graders may attend an engaging worship service just for kids in the Xtreme Zone at 9:00 or 11:00 a.m.. Seating is limited to 25 children and is by reservation only. We will practice social distancing and face coverings are strongly encouraged. Kids will sing some familiar songs, play a few games, and hear great biblical teaching from our Children’s Pastor, Nick Wilbur. You may make your child’s reservation here beginning this Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
    .
  • Middle School Ministry – On Sunday evening, September 13, middle schoolers will meet on Sunday nights from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. for a time of musical worship, large group teaching by our Middle School Pastor, Wil Fason, and breakout groups. We will practice social distancing and face coverings are strongly encouraged. This gathering will be at our High School Ministry facility, Across the Street. Space is limited to 65 students, or 25% of the room, and is by reservation only. You may make your reservation here every week starting Monday at noon.
    .
  • High School Ministry – High schoolers will return to worship at their Sunday evening “Crave” service on Sunday, September 13, filled with student-led music, games, and a biblical message from our High School Pastor, Brett Brandewie. Social distancing will be practiced and face coverings are strongly encouraged. Crave will be held in the Worship Center from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. No reservations are necessary.

Of course, we will continue our Sunday morning worship services at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. in the Worship Center.  Reservations are required, we practice social distancing, and face coverings are strongly encouraged.  You may make your reservations here.

Care for preschoolers (6 weeks – 4K) is offered at both the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services.  Space is limited and is by reservation only. You may read more details about what to expect and how to register your preschooler here.

Of course, if it is not yet time for you to return to in-person, on-campus gatherings, I hope you will continue to join us on the livestream each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. (on our website, Facebook, or YouTube).

Scripture is clear that we benefit and God is pleased when we gather in Jesus’ name (cf. Hebrews 10:24-25).  So, I hope to see you back at Ingleside soon!

I’m very grateful for your prayers and your partnership in the gospel, and I am convinced that the best is yet to come!
