New High School Pastor Joins Team

membership missions Inside Ingleside

I hope you will join me in offering a warm Ingleside welcome to Brett Brandewie and his family as he begins his ministry as our new High School Pastor.  Brett’s first day in the office was this past Monday, April 4.

If you have not met Brett yet, let me tell you a bit about him.  Brett is 28 years old and a 2008 graduate of Florida State University (B.S., psychology and economics).  In 2012, he earned a Master of Divinity degree from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

Brett is married to Laura, and they have a one-year-old son, Bobby.  Brett and Laura are coming to us from Nashville, Tennessee, where Brett served as Associate Minister of Youth and Activities at Forest Hills Baptist Church from 2012 to 2016.

Brett will be part of our Next Generation Team, which includes preschool, children, middle school, and high school ministries.  This team is lead by Pastor Andy Johnson.

Join me in praying for a smooth transition for Brett and his family as they plug into life in Macon and at Ingleside.  Pray, too, for the continued flourishing of our high school and Next Generation ministries, and for the making of many disciples!

Membership and Missions Classes

Have you made the commitment to membership yet?  Are you considering going on an Ingleside mission trip?

Our regular monthly membership and missions orientation classes will be on Sunday, April 17, at 4:00 p.m.  No reservation is required, and childcare is provided.  Dress is casual.  Just park on the east side of our campus and come in the doors to the Worship Center.  We will be there to greet you and point you to the meeting room.  I hope to see you there!

This month only, we are also offering a Wednesday night version of our membership and missions classes for those who can’t make it on Sundays.  The classes will meet at 6:00 p.m. on April 13 and 20.  For more information, contact Hannah in our Membership Office at or 477-7251. It’s a privilege to be on this journey with you.  And, as you know, I am convinced that the best is yet to come!

Your Pastor and Friend,
