Ingleside’s 70th Anniversary

Every journey is defined by significant markers along the way.

This Sunday, December 19, we will mark 70 years since the day our church was officially begun.

When the Charter Member Scroll was closed on December 23, 1951, Ingleside was officially constituted with 203 charter members.  Today our membership stands at more than 5,000 members.

The morning begins with food and fellowship in the Gathering Area at 9:30 a.m., followed by one worship service in the Worship Center at 10:30 a.m.

9:30 – 10:30 a.m.       70th Anniversary Fellowship
                                       in the Gathering Area

10:30 – 11:45 a.m.     One Worship Service

I look forward to celebrating 70 years of God’s favor and faithfulness to our church family.  I hope to see you Sunday!

Is Your Heart Hurting This Christmas?

Though the holiday season can be filled with great joy and blessing, for those who have lost loved ones this time of year can be especially difficult and painful.

So, this Sunday afternoon, December 19, at 4:00 p.m. in our Chapel, we have planned a “Christmas Remembrance and Celebration” service.

This gathering is designed to offer comfort, encouragement, and hope to those who are grieving during the holidays.

I am confident that if you make your way to this service, you will sense the nearness of God’s presence and will experience his tender love to bring healing to your hurting heart.

Christmas Eve Services

The tradition of worshiping at Ingleside on Christmas Eve is back in full swing this year!

We are planning four services – three “family” services and one “candlelight communion” service.

2:00 – 2:45 p.m.   Family Service with live nativity

3:30 – 4:15 p.m.   Family Service with live nativity

5:00 – 5:45 p.m.   Family Service with live nativity
                                (also by livestream)

7:30  – 8:30 p.m.  Candlelight Communion Service

No tickets are necessary. Seating is first come, first served. Doors open thirty minutes prior to each presentation.

Each family service includes a live nativity. The services are 45 minutes in length, and no childcare is provided. Children of all ages are welcome.

The candlelight communion service is designed for adults and families with children elementary age and older.  No childcare is provided.

You may find more details online here.

I hope you will join us for worship at Ingleside on Christmas Eve!

Gratitude for Christmas Musical

I know that you will join me in giving thanks to the Lord for a joyful, creative, and gospel-centered Christmas musical celebration this past weekend that brought thousands to our campus – 8,530 participated in the six services.

I’m very grateful for the partnership of hundreds of Inglesiders who served with joy and gladness.  I’m especially thankful for our Worship Arts teams and our Worship Arts Pastor, Jonathan Green, for their excellent leadership throughout the weekend.

Only eternity will reveal the full impact of this weekend of worship, service, and outreach.  All glory goes to God!
