Ingleside’s 65th Anniversary

Every journey is defined by significant markers along the way.  This Sunday, December 18, we will mark 65 years since the day our church was officially begun.

When the Charter Member Scroll was closed on December 23, 1951, Ingleside was officially constituted with 203 members.  Today our membership stands at more than 4,600 members.

I hope you will be here on Sunday to celebrate 65 years of God’s favor and faithfulness to our church family.  The morning begins with food and fellowship in the Gathering Area at 9:30 a.m., followed by one worship service in the Worship Center at 10:30 a.m.

9:30 – 10:30 a.m.       65th Anniversary Fellowship
                                         in the Gathering Area

10:30 – 11:45 a.m.     One Worship Service

I look forward to celebrating with you this Sunday!

Is Your Heart Hurting This Christmas?

Though the holiday season can be filled with great joy and blessing, for those who have lost loved ones this time of year can be especially difficult and painful.

So, this Sunday afternoon, December 18, at 4:00 p.m. in our Chapel, we have planned a “Christmas Remembrance and Celebration” service.

This gathering is designed to offer comfort, encouragement, and hope to those who are grieving during the holidays.  I am confident that if you will make your way to this service, you will sense the nearness of God’s presence and his power to bring healing to your hurting heart.

Christmas Eve Services

The tradition of worshiping at Ingleside on Christmas Eve is growing!  So, again this year, we are planning three services—two “family” services and one “candlelight communion” service.

3:30 – 4:15 p.m.   Family Service with live nativity

5:00 – 5:45 p.m.   Family Service with live nativity

7:30  – 8:30 p.m.  Candlelight Communion Service

All three services will have great music, an encouraging message, and worship by candle light.  Bring your family and friends and worship at Ingleside on Christmas Eve!

Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

Since they both fall on a Sunday this year, we will have one worship service only at 10:30 a.m. in the Worship Center on Christmas Day, December 25, and New Year’s Day, January 1.

On each of these Sundays, childcare will be provided for those birth through 4 years old.  Children 5K and older should come to worship with their families in the Worship Center.

Regular Wednesday and Sunday schedules resume on January 4 and 8, 2017.

If you are in town, I hope to see you in worship on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
