The conversation occurred recently in an aisle of a local hardware store when a lady asked my wife, Beverly: “Has Pastor Tim been vaccinated?”
Then last night at church an Ingleside regular told me of a co-worker who had asked them: “Has Pastor Tim been vaccinated?”
The answer is: yes, both Beverly and I had the shot on the first day we were eligible – March 15, 2021. Our side effects were minimal – just a sore arm; about the same as when we get the flu shot each year. (I wrote about it in this blog on March 18, 2021).
In fact, all our immediate family members (from our young adult children to Beverly’s senior adult parents) have been vaccinated.
According to the Georgia Department of Public Health Vaccine Distribution Dashboard, 4,543,220 Georgians and 57,325 Macon-Bibb County residents have been fully vaccinated to date.
So, for all who may ask: yes, I’ve been vaccinated, and with the advice and counsel of your physician, I encourage you to be vaccinated too!
Save the Dates
As the calendar has flipped into September and school-schedule rhythms are getting firmly in place (despite the COVID disruptions), I want to make sure that some key dates and events at Ingleside are on your radar.
