Get Ready for Fall Kickoff

For nesting stage families, school has begun or is on the horizon. You’ve seen class schedules, purchased all of the necessary supplies, and participated in orientations. August has quite a buzz for some of us!

As you consider your schedule and priorities for the coming year, I hope you will put discipleship (yours and your family’s) at the top of the list. We have kickoffs on both Sunday, August 8, and Wednesday, August 11. See below for details about each.

Sunday, August 8

  • Preschool through High School will “move up” to their next class.
  • Preschoolers – Ministry for babies-4k at 8:30, 9:40, and 11:00 a.m.
  • Children – 5k – 2nd graders go to Kids’ Worship at 9:40 a.m. and then Bible Study at 11:00 a.m. 3rd – 5th graders go to Bible study at 9:40 a.m. and then Kids’ Worship at 11:00 a.m.
  • Middle School – 6th graders participate in Arise in The Basement at 11:00 a.m., and 7th-8th graders participate in Ignite in The Basement at 9:40 a.m.
  • High School – 9th-12th graders have Sunday Morning Study at 9:40 a.m. Crave, a worship service for 9th-12th graders begins at 6:15 p.m. Both are located at Across the Street.
  • Adults – You can find a variety of adult classes for every age at 8:30, 9:40, and 11:00 a.m. as well as a few Sunday evening studies.
  • Kid Sessions and Student Sessions – These are afternoon ministries to develop musical and arts gifts.

Wednesday, August 11

  • Fellowship Supper – 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
  • Preschoolers – Preschool Ministry (babies – 4k), 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Children – Awana (5k-5th grades), 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Middle School – Small groups, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • High School – Small groups, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Adults –Seasonal Studies, 6:15 – 7:30 p.m.; Wednesdays in the Word (adult prayer, fellowship, and Bible study), 6:30 – 7:15 p.m.
  • Worship Arts – Various rehearsals, 6:15 – 8:30 p.m.
