Concerts at Ingleside

As we were planning to build our Worship Center back in the early 2000s, one of our dreams was that we could host a variety of concerts that would encourage, inspire, and bless our church family and community.  Now, we can look back and see that our “concert dream” has become and still is an ongoing reality.

Across the nine-plus years, we’ve had a variety of concert experiences from a wide spectrum of musical of genres: from contemporary Christian to big-band to southern gospel to alternative pop/rock to Veggie Tales.  Over the years, there’s been something for almost everyone!

On Thursday night, September 26, at 7:00 p.m. we are anticipating another great concert as we host the Sons of Jubal.  This group is a male chorus composed primarily of ministers of music who serve in churches across the Georgia Baptist Convention.  Their concert program typically includes hymns, spirituals, and anthems, provides for congregational participation, and features both the Jubal Brass and Jubal Handbells.

This is not a ticketed event, but a love offering will be received to support the missions endeavors of this group.  There could well be a full house, so come early to get a great seat.  I expect this to be a wonderful evening of Christ-honoring worship, and I hope to see you here!

Fall Family Festival

Don’t miss a great night of fellowship, food, fun, and music at our annual Fall Family Festival on Wednesday night, October 2, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.

This family-friendly environment is designed to celebrate God’s blessings, enhance community across all the generations in our church, and provide a great way to introduce a friend to Ingleside.

For more information and details about how to volunteer, please contact Jon Kitchens or Janet Ward in our Recreation Ministry office.  I look forward to seeing you on October 2.

After God’s Own Heart

This Sunday, September 22, I’ll be sharing the third message in the current series, “After God’s Own Heart:  Lessons from the Life of David.”  Sunday’s message is entitled, “Overcoming the Obstacles that Intimidate Us.”  Bring your Bible, invite a friend, and come ready to worship God with all your heart!
