In today’s blog, I want you to know about: (1) worship capacity increases, (2) new pandemic protocols, and (3) how to make recommendations for the office of Overseer.
Increased worship capacity. As vaccinations increase and spread of the coronavirus in our region remains low, we plan to raise our worship capacity limits from approximately 33% to 40% beginning on Sunday, May 2.
That means we will be able to accommodate 640 worshipers in each service in the Worship Center, 200 in...

In a business, at a school, on a team, or in a church, everything rises and falls on leadership. Leadership always matters!
That’s why we have worked for many years to develop a healthy leadership culture at Ingleside.
In ministry after ministry throughout our church, hundreds of leaders (both staff and volunteers) exercise their gifts in support of our common purpose: to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the glory of God.
If you are among those many Ingleside leaders, I am...

Traditional Worship Re-start. We began to re-gather for in-person, on-campus worship on Sunday, June 14.
At first, we had only two blended services in our Worship Center. Then, on September 13 we added back our contemporary worship serve and kids worship.
Now, we are preparing...

Over the first two weeks in May our Nominating Committee met to select new nominees who will be considered for service as Overseers and Deacons.
As I left the meetings, my heart was deeply grateful for the quality and strength of the leadership God has given our church across the years.
And, I’m convinced that one of the reasons that we have had strong leadership is because we have a good selection process. It includes congregation-wide input, consideration by a Nominating...

Not many of us get pumped up about processes, policies, and procedures. Yet, most of us do care deeply about outcomes and results. The truth is that the two are usually connected—even in the life of a church!
Listen to the wisdom of the writer of the biblical book of Ecclesiastes:
“The wise heart will know the proper time and procedure.
For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter.”
(Ecclesiastes 8:5b-6a, NIV84)
Eugene Peterson captures the spirit of this...
