Back to School
From preschool to graduate school, by this point in the month of August virtually every school in Middle Georgia is now back in session. And, literally hundreds of Ingleside families have now left behind the relaxed rhythms of their summer schedules and are engaging fully the more structured cadences of a new school year.
So, this Sunday, August 23, in each of our morning worship services we will recognize and pray over students, teachers, coaches, counselors, administrators, and other school leaders as they embark on a new chapter filled with challenge and opportunity. I hope you will join us this Sunday!
Semi-Annual Church Conference, August 26
Twice a year, in February and August, our church family gathers for a church conference to hear reports, answer questions, and take formal actions related to the leadership and direction of our church.
So, I hope you will be part of the gathering on Wednesday night, August 26, following Midweek (7:45 p.m.) in room W-200. The two action items on our agenda are the approval of our annual budget and the election of Overseers and Deacons.
New Service Begins September 13
On Sunday, September 13, we will launch our new, contemporary worship service. It will be at 11:00 a.m. in our Multi-Purpose Gym. The music will be led by our Contemporary Worship Pastor, Clay Scott, and band. I will be preaching by video.
So, beginning the Sunday after Labor Day, our new Sunday morning worship schedule will include four services as follows:
Time Musical Heart Language Venue
8:30 a.m. Traditional Chapel
9:40 a.m. Blended Worship Center
11:00 a.m. Blended Worship Center
11:00 a.m. Contemporary Multi-Purpose Gym
Pick the service that fits you best, invite a friend, and come to worship on September 13!
I’m grateful to be on this journey with you. And, as you have heard me say for many years, I am convinced that the best is yet to come!
