A Healthy Church, a Healthy Staff

Virtually everyone agrees that leadership matters.  It’s no surprise, then, that when it comes to building a healthy, vibrant church, developing a healthy ministry staff is a critical part of the equation.

Recently, after Andy Johnson became our Executive Pastor (helping me to oversee and lead all the staff teams), I invited Justin Nalls, our Middle School Pastor, to become the Next Generation Team Leader.  He began those new responsibilities on June 1, even as he continues to be Middle School Pastor.

Our staff at Ingleside is organized into four teams:  Worship Arts, Disciple-making, Next Generation, and Operations.  Here’s an overview of our teams and their leaders.

johnathan crop Jonathan Green leads our Worship Arts team.  Responsibilities include all Sunday services and seasonal worship gatherings.
david p David Peterson leads our Disciple-making team.  This includes membership, discipleship, missions, young adults, recreation, and bookstore ministries.
justin nalls crop Justin Nalls leads our Next Generation team.  This includes all our ministries from preschool through high school.
tim newberry crop Tim Newberry leads our Operations team.  This includes financial services, facilities, food service, human resources, and information technology.

In a larger church, a gifted and dedicated staff is essential to mobilizing every member in ministry and helping us reach our full redemptive potential.  I hope you will support, partner with, and pray for each of these team leaders and their team members as they serve the Lord with excellence and joy – all for the good of the body and the glory of God!

I am grateful to be on this journey with you, and I am convinced that the best is yet to come!
