In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught us that we should be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16).
Just as salt flavors food and as light dispels darkness, we are to influence our world – primarily through our witness and through our good works.
In our current context, another specific way that we can influence the overall character of our culture is when we cast our vote.
Our choices at the ballot box allow us to support values that honor God and lead to human flourishing.

It’s all too easy for our perspective on life to become too tightly focused.
The legitimate, daily demands of family, work, and school can become all-consuming.
Even in our spiritual lives, we can lose sight of the bigger picture.
That’s why it’s good for us to be reminded that God is at work all around the world.
Truth be told, we all need to be challenged to look beyond our usual horizons and consider how God would have us to be involved personally in his global mission...

Our traditional worship service is scheduled to resume this Sunday, October 18.
As was the case pre-pandemic, we will meet in the Chapel at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday morning.
Reservations are required (make them here) and seating will be limited to 25% of capacity (125 worshipers). We will practice social distancing, and face coverings are strongly encouraged. Limited preschool care by reservation will also be available.

We are preparing to resume our traditional worship service on Sunday, October 18.
As was the case pre-pandemic, we will meet in the Chapel at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday morning.

In today’s blog I want you to know about (1) plans to re-start our traditional worship service; (2) adjustments to our Sunday worship schedule; and (3) new Overseer officers elected for the coming year.
Traditional Worship Re-start. We began to re-gather for in-person, on-campus worship on Sunday, June 14.
At first, we had only two blended services in our Worship Center. Then, on September 13 we added back our contemporary worship serve and kids worship.
