For many families at Ingleside, the rhythms of life will be different as the school year comes to a close. The demands of classes, tests, and extracurricular activities give way to a welcome change of pace.

Over the first two weeks in May our Nominating Committee met to select new nominees who will be considered for service as Overseers and Deacons.
As I left the meetings, my heart was deeply grateful for the quality and strength of the leadership God has given our church across the years.

The key question that propels effective decision-making is always “Why?” Why should I consider a career move? Why would that person make a good mate for me? Why would that lead to a positive or negative outcome for my child? Why should I serve in a particular ministry? Why should I invest my time in this manner?

The month of May has become a time when we connect with, serve, and share the gospel with our community in a significant way.
As the school year comes to a conclusion, we host a number of end-of-year events at Ingleside. This year, these include:

As we follow Jesus, God intends for us to connect, communicate, and care for one another as members of the body of Christ.
Of course, the tools we use to facilitate the connections, to enhance the communications, and to enable participation have changed across the years.
When our church began in 1951, there were 203 people who made commitments as Charter Members. They said, in effect, “I’m all in. Count on me. I want to be part of this church family.”
