Resources to Help Us Stay on Track

As we walk with Christ, we should anticipate that it will take effort to stay on the right path. After all, we live in a fallen world where evil and temptation abound.  Then there are the appetites and desires of our old, sinful nature.  Add to that the pressure to conform to the spirit of the age, and the danger of drifting off course is significant. Thankfully, God has provided ample wisdom and power through the Scripture, through his Spirit, and through the encouragement of other...

Of course, the greatest...

Of course, the specific questions newcomers may ask are often more detailed, nuanced, and personalized. Consider these possibilities: ...

Prayer 101:  Praying that Pleases God

Do you know how many of us come to this world knowing how to pray?  The short answer is:  none! That’s right, all of us need to be taught.  All of us need to learn to pray in a way that pleases God. It’s why Jesus’ first disciples said to him: “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1, ESV). In response, Jesus gave them a model prayer.  It’s a prayer we commonly call “The Lord’s Prayer” – because it was given to us by our Lord.  Its purpose is to teach us how to...
