As I have contemplated the beginning of the New Year, my mind has meandered to a quote often attributed to the well-known American actor, comedian, filmmaker, and playwright, Woody Allen.

On this Christmas morning, let’s pause to ponder a single sentence from Scripture:
“She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus,
for he will save his people from their sins.”
(Matthew 1:21, ESV)
It’s just twenty-one words; only twenty-three syllables in the English Standard Version. It’s striking in its simplicity. Yet it is breathtaking in what it affirms.

On this Sunday before Christmas, December 21, there will be one worship service only at 10:30 a.m. at Ingleside. Childcare is provided for birth thru age four. Since there is no age-group programming, ages five and above are welcome in the Worship Center. Bring your friends and family, and worship at Ingleside this Sunday as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ!
