Patriotic Service – July 6
On Sunday, July 6, we will gather in one great service in the Worship Center at 10:30 a.m. On this Sunday closest to our national Independence Day, we will celebrate and give thanks to God for the liberties we enjoy as Americans . . . and for the ultimate freedom we have as followers of Jesus Christ.
But, someone might ask, is God pleased with a patriotic-themed worship service like the one we will have at Ingleside on July 6? From Scripture, I believe...

One event that brings hundreds of Inglesiders together for a relaxed, joy-filled meal is our annual Church Picnic. I hope you have already marked your calendars and are planning to be here Wednesday night, June 25. Not only is there good food, but there is good conversation, singing, praying, mission team commissioning, sharing the Lord’s Supper, and . . . the celebration of believer’s baptism.

When the Bible describes the fellowship enjoyed by the first Christ followers, it says that they “ate together with glad and sincere hearts” (Acts 2:42, NIV). The conversation and love shared over a meal have been part of authentic Christian community from the very start.
