My first international mission trip occurred 34 years ago in the summer of 1980. Over ten weeks, my journey included training in Manila, Philippines, and then preaching/teaching in Singapore, East Malaysia, and Brunei.

The month of May has become a time when we connect with, serve, and share the gospel with our community in a significant way. As the school year comes to a conclusion, we host a number of end-of-year school events at Ingleside. This year, these events include:

In a larger church, one of the keys to long term health and vitality is the leadership of an effective pastoral and program staff in partnership with church members who are fully devoted followers of Christ.

Over the past two weeks our Nominating Committee met to select new nominees who will be considered for service as Overseers and Deacons. As I left the meeting, my heart was deeply grateful for the quality and strength of the leadership God has given our church across the years.

Do you tend to have a bias related to growth? Almost instinctively, some people seem to be bent toward growth while others are predisposed to be against it.
I’m convinced, however, that our bias related to growth should be submitted to and shaped by the Scripture. And, even a cursory look at the New Testament reveals a bias in favor of growth and a robust vocabulary related to multi-dimensional, personal and spiritual growth.
