This Sunday, December 29, there will again be one worship service only at 10:30 a.m. Childcare is provided for birth through age four. Since there is no age-group programming, ages five and above are welcome in the Worship Center. Bring your friends and family, and worship at Ingleside this Sunday!

Christmas . . . what a great time of year . . . to celebrate the birth of Jesus, to offer our worship to God, to commit to God’s purposes for our lives, and to invite a friend to join you at Ingleside!

When our lives are transformed by God’s grace and filled with the Spirit, one of the results will be a grateful heart. We will approach every day, every relationship, and every circumstance with a bias toward giving thanks.
Perhaps that’s why the Apostle Paul mentions gratitude and thanksgiving three different times in the space of just six verses (Colossians 3:12-16) that describe who we are and how we are to live in Christ. This powerful passage concludes by saying:

If you are in town on Tuesday night, November 26, plan now to be part of a great Thanksgiving meal and worship service at Ingleside.
The buffet meal (which includes turkey, dressing, and all the trimmings) begins at 4:45 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall and will be served until 6:30 p.m. It’s $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children, and a $15.00 maximum for a family.

If the question is framed this way – is “missions” a biblical word? – then the answer may be surprising. A search of the King James Version of the Bible reveals that the word “missions” never appears, not even one time.
